Criteria

Your application will be judged using the criteria below. Read the criteria before applying and use it to guide your application. Each criterion below is assessed at equal value.  

Vision for grant award

• Shows a clear need for the grant award, and a clear plan for what they will do with the funding 

Experience and potential

• Shows potential and strength in previous work or current work 

• Shows history of starting and completing work  

Artistic growth

• Demonstrates growing skills and deepening of craft, technique, or approach over time 

• Shows growing scope, direction, themes, and approaches in artistic or administrative work

Review Process and Notification   

• Applications are reviewed for eligibility and completeness. 

• An appointed screening committee determines application rankings. 

• All required application materials will be evaluated based on set review criteria.  

• Notification will be sent via email in October 2026.

Timeline 

• Application opens: Monday, June 1, 2026

• Application deadline: Friday, August 28, 2026 

• Panel review: September 2026

• Grant recipient notification: October 2026

• Grant award recipients announcement: October 2026
