To give festival attendees excellent customer service and meet all their needs and questions. This is a customer-facing role.
Duty of Role:
Answer any questions about the venue (e.g., where the bathroom is, where to sit, crowd traffic, etc.)
Answer any questions about film festival (when is this program)
Redirect inquiries to designated leads (questions about ticketing pricing, streaming questions)
Distributing and collecting ballots from the audience when the program ends.
Clean up the theater when the program concludes.
Qualification/Requirements:
Know conversational ASL
Feel comfortable communicating with alternative options (writing on paper, typing on the phone, etc.)
Comfortable with chatting with people

Dates and Time:
Friday, April 10: 6:30 pm to 9 pm (1 shift)
Saturday, April 11: 9:30 am to 9:00 pm (5 shifts)
Sunday, April 12: 9:30 am to 5 pm (3 shifts)
Hours per shift: 2 hours per shift
Level of Commitment:
Attend a volunteer orientation
Show up at your assigned timeslot
Benefits:
1 shift: Same-day individual program
2 or more shifts: Same-day 2 individual programs (any programs on that day)
Full day: Same-day pass, a meal voucher, and free swag

Matching names Will Call and Comp Passes lists

Set up necessary props, tables, and anything else that needs to be presented and ready before the event begins. This is NOT a customer-facing role.

Setting up tables, chairs, signs
Ensuring the space is accessible
Qualification/Requirements:
Feel comfortable with alternate communication methods (writing on paper, typing on the phone, etc.)
Know basic ASL (Not required)
Dates and Time:
Friday, April 10: 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm (1 shift)
Sunday, April 12: 4 pm – 5 pm (1 shift)
Hours per shift: 1 hour per shift

Dismantle tables, chairs, and signs. Clean up the space and take out trash and recyclables. This is NOT a customer-facing role.

Taking down tables, chairs, signs
Ensuring the space is clean and inspecting for any damages

Bringing film festival goers to the SDFF Social Night at Stoup Brewing. This is a customer-facing role.
Duty of Role:
Guide festival goers from the festival to the next location for the social night event

Saturday, April 11: 8:45 pm to 9:45 pm ( multiple shift)
Hours per shift: 1 hour per shift

Arrive at Stoup Brewery before the social time to check in for our reserved space
Duty of Role:
Greet people at our reserved tables to let people know where our reserved tables are at.
Distribute wristbands to attendees and instruct how to buy drinks under Deaf Spotlight.
Communicate with SDFF Hospitality Coordinator if there is an issue at Stoup Brewery.
